Before selecting materials, you must first lock in the core indicators of the project to avoid blind selection. Strength requirements: The concrete strength grade (e.g., C30, C50) is determined based on the structural design. This directly influences the cement grade and aggregate gradation. For example, C40-C50 is commonly used for high-rise frame columns, while indoor cushions only require C15-C20. Environmental requirements: Determine whether the concrete is in a special environment, such as severe cold (needs to be frost-resistant), seaside (needs to be resistant to chloride ion corrosion), or chemical plant (needs to be acid and alkali resistant). This will affect the selection of admixtures and cement types. Construction requirements: Consider the pouring method (pumping/manual), pouring height, and initial setting time requirements. For example, pumped concrete requires higher fluidity, so an appropriate water reducer should be selected.   The selection of different components directly determines the final performance of concrete. Material Category Select core basis Common types and applicable scenarios Cement Strength grade, heat of hydration, corrosion resistance – Ordinary Portland Cement (P・O): Suitable for most general projects in dry environments. – Slag Portland Cement (P・S): Suitable for large-volume concrete (low heat of hydration) and projects requiring sulfate resistance. – Pozzolanic Portland Cement (P・P): Suitable for humid environments (excellent impermeability), but has high drying shrinkage and is not suitable for dry environments. Aggregate Grading, particle size, strength, impurity content – Coarse aggregate (stone): The particle size must match the component size (e.g., 5-31.5mm is commonly used for beams and columns), the strength must be ≥ 1.5 times the concrete strength, and the mud content must be ≤ 1%. – Fine aggregate (sand): Sand (fineness modulus 2.3-3.0) is preferred, with a mud content of ≤ 3%. Avoid sea sand (unless it has been desalinated to prevent steel corrosion). Admixtures Functional requirements (water reduction, antifreeze, anti-seepage, etc.) – Water-reducing agent:Essential FOR pumping concrete,it can improve fluidity OR REDUCE cement usage. High-efficiency Water-reducing agents are preferred. – Antifreeze agent: Used during winter construction (temperature ≤ 5°C). Select the appropriate antifreeze grade based on the minimum temperature (e.g., -10°C, -20°C). – Anti-seepage agent: Used for projects requiring anti-seepage protection, such as pools and basements (anti-seepage grade P6 and above). Water Cleanliness and impurity content Preferably use drinking water. Avoid using water containing oil, acid, alkali, or excessive chloride ions (such as industrial wastewater and seawater) to prevent adverse effects on cement hydration and steel corrosion. Avoid the "higher strength, the better" mentality: Concrete with excessive strength increases cement usage, leading to higher heat of hydration (prone to cracking) and higher costs. Therefore, concrete selection must strictly adhere to the design grade. Control aggregate mud content: Excessive mud content can reduce concrete strength and impermeability. Sampling and testing are mandatory upon delivery. Compatibility of admixtures with cement: Different brands of admixtures may be incompatible with cement (e.g., segregation and rapid slump loss). If the spreader is too fast, you get piles of concrete that the leveling has to fight; if it's too slow, the concrete begins to set, causing the leveling to "tear" the surface. Here is how to sync the two speeds for a continuous, fluid pour. The spreader's primary job is to maintain a consistent "head" of concrete-a small surge or roll-in front of the laser leveling's auger or plow. The Golden Rule: The spreader should maintain a consistent surcharge of roughly 10% to 15% above the finished slab height. Visual Sync: If the laser leveling's auger is struggling to move concrete to the sides, the spreader is moving too fast (over-filling). If the leveling's vibrating plate is hitting "air," the spreader is moving too slow. You must match the linear meters per hour of both machines. leveling Speed = Width of leveling Head × Cycle Time / Total Surface Area Pace Matching: Most modern laser leveling operate on a 1-minute to 2-minute "pass and reset" cycle. The spreader must be timed to place enough volume for the next pass during the 15-20 seconds the laser leveling is repositioning its boom.
